We got a satellite dish last month and today I discovered a cartoon network called Boomerang. They show classic cartoon shows like The Jetsons and The Flintstones. I watched an episode of The Flintstones today and it really brought a smile to my face! If I recall correctly it was the first cartoon show to be broadcast in prime time (like The Simpsons is now). I remember watching The Flintstones with my family as a kid. Here's the theme song -

We watched a lot of cartoons together as a family: Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss ("Exit, stage left!") I can remember how much my dad enjoyed them!
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember "Exit, stage left" - very cute! I loved Bugs Bunny too. I don't think the cartoons today are anywhere near as good. Not that I watch cartoons these days - ha!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine Don Draper's kids on Mad Men watching The Flintstones! It came on in the 60's.
