I must admit I probably don't eat enough fruits and veggies. I love summer fruit though like watermelon, strawberries, raspberries and cherries. My favorite summer vegetable is corn on the cob. I came across this website which lists what's currently in season -

It looks like there is a lot of good info on this site. Happy eating!

Corn on the cob is very nutritious. It has lots of fiber soluable and insoluable and lots of vitimins and it is locally grown which is important. A book we have called The Japanese Cancer Prevention Diet (Macrobiotics) says corn on the cob and dill pickles are the best things. I don't know how many times we've had it this summer. Bob loves it and buys it at the Farmer's Market.
ReplyDeleteCorn on the cob is great. Have you ever had the kind with white and yellow corn on the same cob? We've had some good organic strawberries lately. I like them on my cereal in the morning.
