Winter has arrived
The Seattle area was hit with our first snowstorm of the winter yesterday. The snow and cold was not the worst part though. At around 7:00 last night, we lost electricity probably due to high winds. I was just about to cook dinner so we had to go to bed without dinner. We sat in the dark and read by candlelight until it was time to go to bed. I think the power came back on around midnight. I think it's going to be a bad winter around here this year!

Here in Iowa, we haven't started winter yet with no snow, so far. We still have green grass. Winter is OK if there isn't a sheet of ice on the sidwalks and streets. I like shoveling snow because then I come into the house with rosy cheeks and feeling good.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a mild winter in Iowa this year!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sorry that you have our winter so far this year. In one forecast, they said that your temperature in Seattle was only 16 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it went as low as 16. It's warmer today and most of the snow has melted.
